Run by the dedicated students of Penn State University, THON is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world! Every year, the students come together to participate in a 46 hour dance marathon with no sleeping or sitting to raise more awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer. THON’s mission is to conquer childhood cancer by providing outstanding emotional and financial support to the children, families, researchers, and staff of The Four Diamonds Fund. The Fund supports a team of pediatric oncology specialists and enables research through The Four Diamonds Pediatric Cancer Research Institute. In addition, The Fund offsets the cost of treatment that insurance does not cover. More than 2,000 families have received support from THON and The Four Diamonds Fund. Not a single family has ever been turned away from our support! This past year, the students came together to raise $9,563,016.09 to help these kids with cancer.
